Dreams Come True

A few years ago I had the pleasure of being able to fulfill one of my life long dreams when my husband and I took a 15 day tour of Great Britain. I had longed to England at least since I was a young girl studying English Literature.

This trip was everything that I dreamed it would be and more. This picture is of me in Winchester Cathedral in awe of the vision before my eyes. I remember crying when we first went into Westminster Abbey just at the enormity of realizing where I was standing.

As time goes by, and one takes the time to look back, it's such a blessing to recognize dreams that have come true. They don't all have to be as grand as a trip to Great Britain.

What dreams have you seen come true in your own life?

1. What an awesome trip!!

2. I always dreamed of being a mother and God gave me six wonderful children. This is by far the greatest blessing of my life.

My dream comes around every summer at our little cottage at the beach. Peace and serenity for days on end, simplicity, the sea, warmth, nature. It really is a dream come true.

Barbara - how I relate to your dream of being a mother. Now I am dreaming of becoming a grandmother!

Joanne - your cottage sounds perfect, a place that dreams are made of.

THis is funny--I had decided to write a post about dreams on Monday! Then I came here.My dream was to be a writer and I've done that and my other dream was to go to Paris and we did in 2000. I had studied French since 5th grade through college but could never afford to go. When I landed, I too wanted to cry that I finally made it!
My next dream is that my daughter and family would live near me someday!

I realized not long ago that whenever it's my time to go, I will be able to say that my life exceeded my dreams in every way possible, and I have nothing to regret. I was able to be a stay at home mom, and later found work that I truly loved. We got to live in some exotic places, and I have been married for 33 years to a great guy who keeps me laughing. What more could I want?
