Nothing to wear

It's taking me twice as long to get dressed in the morning these days. The changing season, the unpredictable weather, and my ever-changing body are conspiring against me these days.

Around Labor Day I started the gradual rotation from closet to closet of summer clothes and fall and winter clothes. It amazes me how I look at some things that I felt so comfortable in last season and wonder what I was thinking at the time. Has my taste (or vision!) really changed so much in the past six months?

Then there are those items that I really like, but that have somehow changed shape or size over the summer and no longer fit the way I remember them fitting. Those are tough to take.

And what about the dilemma of what's really appropriate to wear in October. I bought this really cute pair of white strappy sandals in late August. Can I still wear white? If the sun is shining and it's over 70 degrees is it okay?

Really, I think the only solution is for me to go shopping.

LOL, hear ya on the clothes ordeal. Not being a fashion plate by any stretch of the imagination, I just simply don't worry about it. Wear what's comfy and makes you feel good!

I know exactly what you mean; I am having the problem today, as a matter of fact. It's a little depressing. Where clothes used to be fun for me, now it's stressful. I once wore a perfect size 6, but now it's one size on the top and another size on the bottom!! And then there's the matter of the early fall heat here in the Northwest. I just want cool weather to come once and for all, so I can wear all the sweaters I love so much....the ones that hide all my body's imperfections.

Good to know I'm not alone in this dilemna! Terri - if only we lived closer we could plan a shopping spree together!

October is that in-between time, you still need some summer clothes, but def need the cool weather stuff too. I always debate when to make that wardrobe switch and pack away one season to bring on the next!
