Gratitude

In two weeks we will be on our way to visit our children for Thanksgiving. Though they won't be celebrating Thanksgiving in Canada, I will be having my own Thanksgiving celebration in my heart. This year we have much to be thankful for.

It is our first Thanksgiving with our precious little grandson, Jaxon. We miss so much being so far away from him. It will be so exciting to see how much he has changed since we last saw him!

In less than two months my daughter will be having her much-anticipated, long-awaited, little baby (we don't know if it will be a boy or girl yet)!

God has truly blessed our family this year and in this, as in everything, we praise Him and give him thanks!

Linda,
How exciting for you to spend your holiday with your grandchild! I would give the world to spend it with mine out there but you know how far WA is from Florida!
Have a great day!

How exciting to be with family, especially grandkids! I'm envious! My two granddaughters are in MA and I'm in FL. I've never spent a holiday with them and they're now 9 and 11. Lives are so busy, money is tight and winter weather is not good for my health problems. But my husband and I will be taking our pets in our RV and traveling to AL for his family reunion for Thanksgiving and I know it will be wonderful as it has in the past. And my granddaughters will be coming to FL for a visit after the first of the year.

What a nice post. I heart gratitude posts. Have you visited our Year of Gratitude (YOG) blog yet? It's full of 3 women's thoughts on the subject. :) (How's that for a shameless plug?) Today I posted "Fringe Benefits." http://barbaraquinnyearofgratitude.blogspot.com/

PS I adore that little growing baby icon you added!

Thanksgiving celebrations in the heart are what really matter! They're contagious to those around you. Enjoy ...

Even though you will not be celebrating Thanksgiving in a "traditional" sense of the holiday, every day should be Thanksgiving.

I am so glad you are getting to see your grandchild. And you deserve the vacation time.

Kathryn, aren't digital cameras THE BEST! It sounds like you're having as much fun with yours as I am! I didn't put my camera up in the tree branches - but that's a great idea!
